Recently, GE Gas Power announced the official launch of the upgraded IS420UCSBH3A UCSB (Universal Control System Block) controller module, a core component of its Mark VIe control system. Equipped with a quad-core industrial-grade processor, fanless redundant design, and SIL 2/3 functional safety certification, this product is specifically engineered for critical industrial equipment such as gas turbines and steam turbines. With millisecond-level response speed and 99.99% operational reliability, it has become the preferred core solution for automated control in high-risk industries including power generation, petrochemicals, and oil refining.
The IS420UCSBH3A adopts the Intel EP80579 quad-core microprocessor with a maximum frequency of 1200MHz, paired with 256MB SDRAM high-speed memory. It can process multi-channel real-time control logic in parallel, with instruction execution latency as low as microsecond level. The module is equipped with the QNX Neutrino real-time operating system, boasting strong anti-interference capabilities and multi-task scheduling performance, perfectly adapting to complex control scenarios in industrial fields.
In terms of hardware design, the product breaks through with a fanless and battery-free architecture, achieving passive heat dissipation through metal cooling fins.
