The Bently Nevada 32000-28-05-06-020-07-02 Metric Proximity Probe Housing Assembly is designed for housing-mounted 3300 XL 8 mm proximity probes suitable for radially mounted sensors, whether for vibration measurements or Keyphasor reference signal acquisition. This probe comes with a 0.5-meter (20-inch) extension cable, an optional 60 mm bracket adapter (Option C), and a 200 mm probe insertion length (Option D). It is secured with 3/4-14 NPT mounting threads. The housing and retaining chain are made of AISI 304 stainless steel, while the housing and external screws are made of AISI 303 stainless steel. The recommended retention nut torque is 29.4 N·m (260 in·lb). The housing body is made of glass-reinforced polyphenylene sulfide (PPS) thermoplastic with internal conductive fibers, providing excellent mechanical strength and corrosion resistance.
The Bently Nevada 32000-28-05-06-020-07-02 housing assembly allows external access to the probe and extension cable, enabling gap adjustment or probe replacement without disassembling the device. This housing model is pre-installed with 3300 XL proximity probes and supports various conduit connector options, fully compliant with API 670 standards, and is intended for external mounting of proximity sensors. When used with certified 3300 XL series probe systems and suitable intrinsically safe barriers (ISBNs), the 32000-28-05-06-020-07-02 housing assembly can be used in intrinsically hazardous areas, ensuring safe and reliable long-term operation.
