Bently Nevada 330101-20-45-05-02-05 3300 XL 8 mm Proximity Probe is a high-performance eddy current sensor designed for accurate vibration and position monitoring in rotating machinery. It features a 2.0 in unthreaded length, 4.5 in overall case length, and a 0.5 m (1.6 ft) total cable length with a miniature coaxial ClickLoc connector and standard cable configuration. The probe is built with AISI 303/304 stainless steel housing, a PPS (polyphenylene sulfide) probe tip, and a Viton® O-ring sealing structure, ensuring strong mechanical durability and stable operation under harsh industrial conditions. It supports a nominal DC resistance of 7.45 ± 0.50 Ω and operates with a -24 Vdc supply and 10 kΩ load resistance, meeting strict industrial measurement requirements.
The 3300 XL 8 mm system is widely used for radial vibration, axial position, Keyphasor reference, and speed measurements on fluid-film bearing machines. It provides a voltage output proportional to the distance between the probe tip and the target surface, enabling both static and dynamic monitoring. Fully compliant with API 670 standards, the system offers high linear accuracy, excellent temperature stability, and full interchangeability between probes, extension cables, and Proximitor sensors without recalibration. It is also backward compatible with earlier 3300 series 5 mm and 8 mm systems, making it a flexible solution for both new installations and legacy system upgrades where installation space or compatibility constraints exist.
