The Bently Nevada 330102-00-40-10-01-00 3300 XL 8 mm Proximity Probe with 3/8-24 UNF thread and armor is designed for high-precision, non-contact vibration and displacement measurements in fluid film bearing machinery. Its probe tip is made of Polyphenylene sulfide (PPS), while the case is constructed from AISI 303 or 304 stainless steel (SST), ensuring durability and corrosion resistance in demanding industrial environments. The probe features a 75 Ω triaxial FEP-insulated cable and a Miniature coaxial ClickLoc connector with connector protector for secure and reliable signal transmission.
The 3300 XL 8 mm system incorporates patented TipLoc and CableLoc designs, providing a robust bond between the probe tip and body and a 330 N (75 lbf) pull strength to securely attach the cable. Optional FluidLoc cables are available to prevent oil or liquid leakage through the probe interior, while flexible SST armor with FEP outer jacket can be selected for enhanced mechanical protection. These improvements ensure superior long-term performance compared to previous probe designs.
