The Bently Nevada 74712-06-05-02-00 High-temperature Two-wire Transducer is a member of the Seismoprobe Velocity Transducer Systems, designed to measure absolute (relative to free space) bearing housing, casing, or structural vibration. The 74712 is the high-temperature version of the 9200 and features a two-wire design that uses moving-coil technology, providing a voltage output directly proportional to the transducer's vibration velocity. It operates over a temperature range of -29°C to +204°C (-20°F to +400°F), making it suitable for demanding environments where standard velocity transducers may not be adequate.
The 74712 Seismoprobe Velocity Transducer is suitable for continuous monitoring or periodic measurements when used with test or diagnostic instruments. Moving-coil transducers are less sensitive to impact or impulsive excitation than solid-state velocity transducers and can represent a good choice for certain applications. Because they do not require external power, they are convenient for portable measurement applications. Interconnect cables are available in various lengths with or without stainless steel armor, allowing the transducer to be connected to other instruments for vibration monitoring and machinery condition assessment.
