The HIMA X-AI3201 analog input module is part of the HIMax® programmable electronic system (PES), designed for precise and safety-related evaluation of up to 32 analog input signals. Manufactured in Germany, this module ensures high reliability and safety compliance, certified up to SIL 3 (IEC 61508, IEC 61511, IEC 62061), Cat. 4, and PL e (EN ISO 13849-1). It is suitable for applications in safety-critical industrial automation, including process control, energy, and chemical industries.
The module operates on a 24 V DC supply and can measure currents per channel from 0 mA to 30 mA depending on the transmitter supply. In case of a fault, the X-AI3201 enters a safe state, transmitting the default value (0) to the user program and activating the Error LED on the front plate. It is designed for panel installation with IP20 protection and operates in a temperature range of 0–60 °C (storage up to –40–85 °C) under relative humidity up to 95 % non-condensing. This module must be installed on a suitable connector board and connected via system cables to Field Termination Assemblies (FTA) for proper operation.
