Hong Kong demonstrations
A large-scale demonstration in Hong Kong against the Hong Kong government to amend the fugitives' extradition amendments. The police estimated that the number of protesters at the peak of the demonstration was 240,000, but organizers said that according to their statistics, more than 1 million people took to the streets. This is one of the largest parades in Hong Kong's history. After midnight that day, protest groups clashed with the police. The police were forced to use pepper sprays and batons to disperse street protesters.
