Bently Nevada 990-08-50-01-05 is a 990 Vibration Transmitter intended primarily for the original equipment manufacturers (OEMs) of centrifugal air compressors and small pumps, motors, or fans that require a simple 4 to 20 mA proportional vibration signal as the input to a machinery control system. The transmitter is a two-wire, loop-powered device that accepts input from one 3300 NSv Proximity Probe and its matching 5.0 m extension cable. This model features a 0–8 mils pp (0–200 μm pp) full-scale range, 35 mm DIN rail clips for mounting, and CSA Division 2, ATEX Zone 0, ATEX Zone 2, and ABS maritime approvals.
The transmitter operates from a +12 to +35 VDC power supply and conditions the probe signal into appropriate peak-to-peak vibration amplitude engineering units, providing a proportional 4 to 20 mA industry-standard output for machinery protection, alarming, and control logic. The 990 Vibration Transmitter includes an integrated Proximitor Sensor, eliminating the need for an external unit, and provides non-isolated PROX OUT and COM terminals together with a coaxial connector for dynamic vibration and gap voltage diagnostics. Additional features include non-interacting zero and span potentiometers for loop adjustment, a Test Input pin for quick loop verification, a Not OK/Signal Defeat circuit to prevent false alarms caused by faulty probes or loose connections, and standard mounting options that simplify installation.
