Product Description

The KEYENCE GT2-H32 is a sensor head in the GT2 Series of high-accuracy digital contact sensors. It is designed for direct-contact displacement and position measurements across a 32 mm range, using a quartz-glass scale and CMOS image-sensor projection system to deliver absolute position detection without tracking errors.

During operation, the spring-loaded contact follows the target surface while the sensor head converts probe travel into a precise absolute measurement for the connected GT2 system. Its 0.5 µm resolution, 1 ms sampling cycle and 3 µm peak-to-peak indicated accuracy at 20 °C support dimensional inspection, assembly verification and machine-position monitoring where repeatable contact measurement is required.

For project selection, engineers should consider the measuring range, mounting direction, contact force, required M8 sensor-head cable, compatible amplifier and fixture rigidity. GT2-H32 is the standard-force 32 mm head; applications involving delicate workpieces or a longer stroke should be compared with the appropriate GT2 low-force or longer-range model before ordering.

Accuracy Conditions: The 3 µm peak-to-peak indicated accuracy and 6 Hz mechanical response are specified at an ambient temperature of 20 °C.

Installation Planning: Measuring force is a representative value at the centre of the range and varies with mounting direction and dust-boot installation. Use a rigid fixture, avoid side loading the spindle, and include the required M8 sensor-head cable and compatible GT2 amplifier in the system plan.
