Schneider AP4423 is a rack automatic transfer switch for supplying single-corded IT equipment from two independent 230 V AC sources. It uses two IEC C20 inputs and distributes power through eight IEC C13 outlets and one IEC C19 outlet in a 1U rack enclosure.

The switch powers connected loads from the selected primary source. If that source becomes unavailable or moves outside the configured transfer range, AP4423 changes to the alternate source. Local controls and the network interface provide source selection, status, current monitoring, event information and alarm visibility.

AP4423 accepts two AC sources and allows a preferred source to be selected locally or through the network interface. The transfer mechanism changes sources safely even when the inputs are not phase synchronized. Voltage sensitivity and transfer ranges can be configured for the installation.

Eight C13 outlets and one C19 outlet allow several single-corded devices to connect directly to the ATS. The 16 A rating, 3700 VA capacity and outlet loading must be considered as one aggregate load rather than as independent full-rated outlets.

AP4423 measures aggregate load current and provides near-overload and overload indications. Operators can review source condition, alarms, transfer events and load data from the front panel or the network management interface.

Remote access supports Web, SNMP, SSH and Telnet functions, together with StruxureWare Data Center Expert integration. The serial configuration cable supplied with the unit supports initial setup when network parameters are not yet available.
