The VIPA 214-2BM02 (CPU 214DPM) is a high-performance, compact PLC central processing unit module manufactured in Germany, belonging to the classic System 200V series. It integrates powerful PROFIBUS-DP master station functionality, with 48KB of built-in working memory and 80KB of loaded memory, specifically designed for small to medium-sized industrial automation control systems. Thanks to its superior hardware electrical isolation design and high-bandwidth data processing capabilities, this module can achieve high-speed, stable communication and equipment control for up to 125 slave stations in harsh industrial environments.

Configuration of CPU 21xDPM
To be compatible to the Siemens SIMATIC manager, you have to execute the following steps for the System 200V: 
• Start the hardware configurator from Siemens. 
• Install the GSD-Datei VIPA_21x.gsd. 
• Configure a CPU 315-2DP with DP master system (address 4). 
• Add a PROFIBUS slave "VIPA_CPU21x" at address 1. 
• Include the CPU 214-2BM02 at the 1st slot of the slave system. 
• Include the output module 222-1BF00.
