Allen Bradley 150-C30NBR SMC-3 Smart Motor Controller is a 30A solid-state soft starter for 3-phase motors operating at 480V, 60Hz. It is designed to provide controlled motor starting and stopping, reducing mechanical stress and electrical inrush current.

It includes multiple start/stop modes such as soft start, current limit start, kick start, soft stop, and coast-to-rest. Current limiting is adjustable (150%–450% of full load current), and acceleration time can be set from 2 to 30 seconds, allowing flexible tuning for different load types.

The unit integrates SCR bypass on all three phases to reduce heat and improve efficiency. It also provides comprehensive motor protection, including electronic overload (trip classes 10/15/20), phase loss, phase imbalance, phase reversal, over-temperature shutdown, and SCR fault detection.

For monitoring and maintenance, it offers LED status indicators and a fault relay output for external alarms. A push-to-test function helps verify fault conditions and reset the system easily.

Certified to UL, CSA, CE, and IEC standards, it supports motors roughly in the 7.5–30 HP range at 460V, making it suitable for pumps, conveyors, compressors, and other industrial motor-driven equipment.
