Its smaller probe package is intended for mounting locations where an 8 mm probe cannot physically fit.
In a complete 3300 5 mm Proximity Transducer System, the probe works with the matched Bently Nevada signal-conditioning hardware to produce an output proportional to the distance between the probe tip and a conductive surface. The system supports static position and dynamic vibration measurements on fluid-film bearing machinery, as well as Keyphasor and speed measurements.
Selection should be based on mechanical access rather than an assumed reduction in sideview clearance.
