Bently Nevada 330171-00-12-50-01-05 is a 3300 5 mm proximity probe configured with a 1/4-28 UNF thread, no armor, a 1.2-inch case, a 5.0-metre total length, a protected standard ClickLoc connector, and the multiple-approvals option. Its smaller probe package is intended for mounting locations where an 8 mm probe cannot physically fit.

In a complete 3300 5 mm Proximity Transducer System, the probe works with the matched Bently Nevada signal-conditioning hardware to produce an output proportional to the distance between the probe tip and a conductive surface. The system supports static position and dynamic vibration measurements on fluid-film bearing machinery, as well as Keyphasor and speed measurements.

Selection should be based on mechanical access rather than an assumed reduction in sideview clearance. Baker Hughes specifies that the 5 mm probe provides the same linear range as the 3300 XL 8 mm probe, but it does not reduce sideview or tip-to-tip spacing requirements. Where narrow sideview clearance is the governing constraint, the 3300 XL NSv family should be evaluated instead.
