The Bently Nevada 990-10-50-03-00 is a Vibration Transmitter designed primarily for OEM applications such as centrifugal air compressors, small pumps, motors, and fans. It converts mechanical vibration signals from a compatible 3300 NSv proximity probe system into a proportional 4–20 mA output signal, representing peak-to-peak vibration amplitude in engineering units. With a full-scale range of 0–10 mils pp (0–250 μm pp) and a system length of 5.0 meters, it provides a compact and efficient solution for machinery condition monitoring and control system integration.
This transmitter is a two-wire, loop-powered device that integrates a built-in Proximitor Sensor, eliminating the need for an external module. It features a frequency response of 5 Hz to 6,000 Hz (±0.3 dB), durable stainless steel construction (AISI 303/304), and a PPS transducer tip for reliable operation in industrial environments. Additional design features include DIN-rail or bulkhead mounting options, non-interacting zero and span adjustments, a test input for loop verification, and a Not OK/signal defeat function to prevent false alarms caused by probe faults or loose connections. Operating reliably from -35°C to +85°C, the 990 transmitter ensures stable vibration monitoring performance in compact rotating machinery applications.
