The ICS Triplex TC-501-01-4M5 Trusted I/O SmartSlot Cable is designed for reliable signal transmission in high-integrity industrial control systems. With a length of 4.5 meters and support for up to 40 channels, it is used to connect analogue or digital input modules to internal FTA interfaces. Built for SmartSlot architecture, the cable supports hot standby and failover configurations, making it suitable for safety-critical Trusted systems operating at up to 50V DC and 1.0 A per channel.
Mechanically, the cable features a 96-way type ‘C’ connector on the chassis side housed in a TC-500 single-width hood, and a 96-way type ‘R’ connector on the remote end for FTA connection. The multi-core assembly is stripped back 1.5 meters at both ends and protected with nylon Rilgain sheathing, with reinforced ends to prevent fraying. For grounding and shielding integrity, both ends include a sheathed braid for safety earth connection, while the remote end also routes the screen drain via a dedicated green wire for proper screen earthing, ensuring stable and noise-resistant signal performance in demanding industrial environments.
